WE'VE GOT A NEW PRESIDENT ...

Join me in congratulating Geoff Furtaw - IFCA's new President.  Geoff has been an active BOD member for several years.  He is on the Legislative Committee and has represented us annually in DC.  He has testified locally on behalf of the PA LIEN LAW as well as on PROMPT PAY.  Under Geoff's leadership our legislative commitment will remain stedfast, our communications and industry meetings with our union partners will continue and we'll look forward to new initiatives, services and benefits.  Geoff's term commences July 1 ... come on now !!!

I want to thank Evan Lambros for volunteering to be IFCA's President these past two years.  Under his leadership we concluded successful CBAs with our unions, kicked PROMPT PAY across the finish line and have added INDEMNIFICATION to our legislative pursuits.  Evan will remain on IFCA's BOD and will maintain his trustee position on the Health & Welfare and Annunity Funds with the IUPAT.  I appreciated our regular debates over all things political!  Glad IFCA can continue to count on you.

I also want to say THANKS to Gary Blaszczyk and Tim Donohue who have served on IFCA's BOD for many years.  Both Gary and Tim were past presidents and vice presidents.  Both agreed to remain BOD Emeritus.  I still have their cell numbers (lucky me ... and know I can count on them for industry input whenever the association needs it).

In addition to Geoff Furtaw as President, we voted in a new Vice President - Mike Schillinger (yeeehhhhh).  Joining Geoff and Mike as officers is Dane Shiplee, Secretary-Treasurer.  Dane has held this position for many years - 1+1 = Dane.  We voted in a new BOD member too - Jeremy Kramer (Blasz Const.) - we convinced him to be part of the team at the 2019 Winter Conference.  In addition to Jeremy and the officers, the BOD consists of Carl Doerr, Keith Donmoyer, Evan Lambros, and Andy Uhrik ... we have 8 active BOD members.  Gary Blaszczyk, Tom Clerkin and Tim Donohue agreed to BOD Emeritus.  These folks are IFCA's ENGINE ... without them ... I couldn't start my DAY !!!

One of the first tasks Geoff and I will work on is COMMITTEE appointments.  Please don't forget ... e-mails re: suggestions on how to improve IFCA are always welcome !!!

Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.  B. Franklin

Enjoy what's left of JUNE ...
